Season's Greetings

star

The Directors and Staff of
Midland Fertility Services
wish you
a Merry Christmas
and the very best
for a happy and successful 2009

(Instead of sending paper cards, this year MFS has made a donation to Cancer Research UK. Unfortunately, technical problems with the charity's website means it is unable to send you the interactive e-card we had planned, but please accept our good wishes via this more simple design instead!)

editor's message

Welcome to our last enews of 2008, the year that MFS celebrated its 21st birthday and the birth of more than 300 babies, including the clinic's first baby born from a thawed frozen blastocyst.

It's also the year that MFS introduced vitrification, the new egg freezing process that may improve the success rates from thawed frozen eggs, building on the unit's success as the only UK clinic that has provided egg freezing treatment resulting in live births, using the women's own eggs.

MFS staff will start 2009 with a whole new look! You can view the new uniforms in Latest News, as well as confirm the unit's Christmas and New Year opening dates. And in Made In Aldridge, join in the first Christmas for Charlie Satchwell, whose parents Jo and Doug are looking forward to the celebrations they have dreamed of for so long.

Today's the Day includes Christmas dedications to nine beautiful MFS babies! If you would like to mark a milestone in the life of your MFS baby or send them a dedication in a future enews, complete the Today's the Day Form.

Finally in Festive Thoughts, read some of the MFS team's memories of past Christmas celebrations and their thoughts on what Christmas 2008 is really all about.

The next newsletter will be out in March 2009 and if you don't yet subscribe, fill in the subscription form to make sure it hits your inbox on the day it's issued.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter and welcome your feedback.  And if you’ve found it a good read, why not tell a friend?

Finally, Merry Christmas & all good wishes for 2009.

Amongst the festive celebrations, Christmas can sometimes be a stressful time, where emotions get stretched as people realise that they've not kept the resolutions they made at the start of the year or have not achieved the ambitions they hoped for.
